Theory Test
The theory test is split in to two sections, one with 50 multiple choice questions (that you must get 43 correct to pass) and the second with 14 video clips of a video camera mounted in a car. For this you must click when you see a hazard on the screen (although you do not have to click on the hazard itself), each clip gives you a score out of 5 depending on how quickly you spot the hazard - there is also one clip that has 2 hazards, so you can score 10 points on this clip. Out of a total of 75 points you must score 44 to pass this test.

Once you pass the theory test you will be given a certificate that gives you 2 years to pass your practical driving test.

Car Test
Your practical test will last for around 40 minutes, in this time you must demonstrate to the driving examiner your driving skills, attitude to other road users and decision making ability as you come across various traffic conditions.

Whilst on the driving test, you will be asked to complete a number of excersises, these range from things as simple as pulling up at the side of the road, setting off on a hill and doing 2 reversing manouvres.
